“I entered college with the intention of becoming a fashion writer. So, I spent four years in Austin, Texas studying textiles/apparel and English literature. After interning at W Magazine and Brilliance Media, I made a crazy life choice and applied to law school. Don’t worry, it sounds kind of insane to me, too. Fast forward four years…I woke up one morning post law school graduation and panicked, thinking “Is this it? No more fashion?” The very next day, I started LAW OF FASHION.
Now I feel as if I have two careers – a full time career as an attorney and, on nights and weekends, I live and breathe LAW OF FASHION. I test the limits of “business casual” daily, spend what little free time I have studying trends, and work on perfecting dressing for day-to-night. I would be lying if I said keeping up with a very demanding career and a blog that is growing by the minute isn’t exhausting, because it is. However, I am truly grateful for all of the opportunities I have, and I know that this passion-project of mine is an integral part of maintaining balance in my life.”

FACT: Deep down I am a 12 year old girl. I love Twilight, I saw The Hunger Games at 9:30 a.m. on opening weekend and I would rather spend my free time eating mint ice-cream while watching movies than doing most anything else.
FACT: My volume level is consistent (read: LOUD), whether I am in a library, at a concert or “talking” to a colleague down the hall.
FACT: I am coming to terms with life in Los Angeles after seven years, but still miss New York on the daily. It doesn’t help that one of my dearest friends has made it his job to send me random images of the City with taglines saying things like, “This is the view from my office. Move here now!!”

GET CLICKED IN
WWD – I still get WWD in print, and it will always be “WEAR I CLICK” when it comes to fashion news and trends. There truly is no other source that has as much, or as wide a variety of fashion news and information all in one place.
BLOGS TO CLICK
JAK & JIL / STOCKHOLM STREETSTYLE – Although most of the showcased street style is a “no go” as far as office attire, I am constantly filing things away under “if I wasn’t in an office all day I would be wearing this for sure.”
DESIGNERS TO CLICK
EQUIPMENT – For the fashionable professional, the buck stops with Equipment. As a friend of mine and I like to put it, “I won’t be happy until every time I open my closet, I am swimming in a sea of silk button-downs.”
SHOP + CLICK
SHOPBOP – Not only does Shopbop have free shipping and free returns (which is uber important to a girl who does much of her shopping from behind a desk), but it carries on trend items at a wide range of price points.
INTERMIX – As for Intermix, I truly believe its buyers have a direct line to my shopping psyche.
